Dr. Sol Steiner is a seasoned biopharmaceutical leader with more than five decades of experience founding, scaling, and guiding innovative life-science companies. Throughout his career, he has served as CEO, Chairman, or senior executive across multiple venture-backed and publicly traded organizations, including Biodel Inc., Perosphere Inc., and Pharmaceutical Discovery Corporation.

Dr. Steiner co-founded Biodel Inc. in 2003 and served as Chairman, President, and CEO through its formative years. Under his leadership, Biodel advanced multiple metabolic-disease programs and championed the company through an IPO, establishing the company as a true biopharmaceutical enterprise.

He later served as CEO and Chairman of Perosphere Inc., where he helped advance novel therapeutics and platform technologies, and previously spent nearly a decade as CEO of Pharmaceutical Discovery Corporation, guiding the company’s R&D programs and strategic industry partnerships.

In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Dr. Steiner has led Steiner Ventures since 1990, providing executive guidance, operational expertise, and scientific insight to emerging biotechnology companies and healthcare innovators. 

With his decades of experience building and guiding biopharmaceutical organizations—from early scientific development through IPO and commercialization—Dr. Steiner brings invaluable strategic and operational insight to ONNIX.
