Dr. Harry Jacobson is a nationally recognized physician-executive, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader with decades of experience guiding major academic medical centers and building successful healthcare companies. As Chairman of the Board at Onnix, he brings deep expertise in clinical leadership, organizational growth, and the development of innovative medical technologies.
Dr. Jacobson served for more than a decade as Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief Executive Officer of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he led one of the nation’s largest and most respected academic health systems. Under his leadership, Vanderbilt experienced substantial clinical, research, and financial growth, including major expansions in NIH-funded research, patient services, and healthcare infrastructure.
Beyond his academic leadership, Dr. Jacobson is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor. He has co-founded several successful healthcare companies, including Renal Care Group, which grew into a leading dialysis provider and was acquired for $4.5 billion. He has also served on the boards of major public and private healthcare organizations and has played a key role in deploying hundreds of millions of dollars into early-stage medical and health-technology ventures.
A member of the National Academy of Medicine, Dr. Jacobson is widely regarded for his contributions to healthcare innovation, operational excellence, and clinical governance. His experience overseeing complex healthcare organizations and building transformative medical companies provides strategic leadership as Onnix advances its EDTA-based catheter lock/flush solution toward clinical evaluation and commercialization.
